Editorial Independence

TopPulse operates with a strict separation between editorial and commercial functions. Our rankings, reviews, articles, and guides are produced by our editorial team based on research, data analysis, and editorial judgment. No external party - including affiliate partners, advertisers, or platform operators - has influence over our editorial decisions.

This independence is the foundation of our credibility. Without it, our content has no value to the investors who rely on it.

How We Select Platforms for Coverage

TopPulse covers P2P lending platforms that meet the following criteria:

  • European availability: The platform accepts investors from one or more European countries.
  • Sufficient operating history: Generally at least one year of operations, though exceptional circumstances may warrant earlier coverage.
  • Public data availability: The platform publishes enough information (statistics, financial reports, regulatory filings) for meaningful evaluation.
  • Relevance to our audience: The platform operates in the consumer lending, business lending, real estate lending, or related segments.

We do not cover platforms in exchange for payment, and we do not exclude platforms because they decline commercial relationships with us.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Affiliate relationships

TopPulse earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with some platforms we cover. These relationships are disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page. To prevent conflicts:

  • The editorial team makes ranking decisions without knowledge of which platforms are affiliate partners.
  • Affiliate status has no bearing on a platform’s position in our rankings, the tone of its review, or the depth of its coverage.
  • We cover platforms that are not affiliate partners with the same rigor as those that are.

Personal investments

Members of the TopPulse editorial team may personally invest in P2P lending platforms. To manage this conflict:

  • Editorial team members disclose their P2P investments internally.
  • No team member has sole editorial authority over a platform in which they are personally invested.
  • Personal investment decisions are not influenced by upcoming editorial coverage, and vice versa.

Platform relationships

  • We do not accept gifts, hospitality, or other benefits from platforms that could influence editorial judgment.
  • Platform representatives may provide data, statistics, and factual information for our research. Providing information does not entitle a platform to favorable coverage.
  • Sponsored content, if ever published, is clearly and prominently labeled as such and is never mixed with editorial content.

Correction Policy

Accuracy is essential to our mission. When we get something wrong, we fix it:

How to report an error

Contact us at editorial@toppulse.com with the subject line “Correction - [article or page title]”. Include the specific error and, if possible, a source for the correct information.

How we handle corrections

  • Minor factual errors (typos, outdated statistics, incorrect links) are corrected promptly. A correction note is added to the article if the error was material.
  • Significant factual errors (incorrect regulatory status, wrong financial data, misattributed claims) are corrected immediately. A visible correction notice is placed at the top of the affected article, explaining what was wrong and what the correct information is.
  • Errors in rankings are addressed in the next monthly edition with an explanation of the correction and its impact on positions.

Transparency

We do not silently edit published content. Material corrections include a note explaining what changed and when. Minor formatting or style changes do not require correction notices.

Advertising vs. Editorial

TopPulse clearly distinguishes between editorial content and advertising:

  • Editorial content includes rankings, reviews, articles, guides, and platform profiles. This content is produced by our editorial team and reflects our independent analysis.
  • Advertising includes display ads, sponsored placements, and promotional content from third parties. All advertising is clearly labeled as such.
  • Affiliate links are commercial in nature but are embedded within editorial content. They are disclosed in accordance with our Affiliate Disclosure page and applicable regulations.

We do not publish “advertorials” (advertisements disguised as editorial content). If a platform or advertiser pays for content, it is labeled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” prominently and unambiguously.

Content Standards

All TopPulse content adheres to these standards:

  • Accuracy: Claims are based on verifiable data and sources. Opinions are clearly distinguished from facts.
  • Fairness: We present balanced assessments, including both strengths and weaknesses of platforms we cover.
  • Currency: Content is updated regularly to reflect current information. Outdated content is flagged or removed.
  • Clarity: We write in accessible language, avoiding unnecessary jargon. Complex topics are explained for a general investor audience.
  • Attribution: We cite sources and give credit where appropriate.
